A journey of intrigue (FARNHAM/GIGS/NEWS) - Thursday 22nd April

Wednesday, 08:30 hours i rise from my pit, have a coffee and watch some mind numbing tv then 09:15 hours im hit right in the brain by an un-courteous loose thought "my trains in less than 2 hours and im no even dressed!".

This is how my day started but that doesnt mean it was a rushed day, oh no, just a rushed morning for you see my train was leaving for the big smoke of london village, a pleasant 4 hour(ish) adventure armed with sandwiches muffins and trusty nicotine inhalator since ye cannae smoke on trains.

I arrived into kings cross about 15:30 hours and treated myself to a real cigarette (much better than the inhalator pish) while observing the london public as i was listening to the tetris theme tune and i started to imagine they were the blocks, all running in various lines into the main station bit, all different shapes and sizes, thin, fat medium builds, tall, small, etc etc all rusing in unison to the four to the floor beat which encouraged a cheeky grin to become ingraved on my delighted scottish chops.

The point of the journey of course is BIG HAND once again are bringing you lucky lucky people some ska with a string of dates in Farnham, London and Ashington.

Wednesday 22nd was Farnhams day to be enlightened by the sweet melodies of the zorbic warriors big hand but tragedy struck the 4 wandering nomads as when they arrived in Farnham it seemed the PA had been stolen by some buckfast swilling pirates from across the sea's! Faced with the prosepect of having no P.A and as such maybe having to play some sort of acoustic jazz odysey the situation looked bleak untill at the last minute in a cloud of strange neon smoke a mysterious figure appeared and said "my good fellows, i am Graham from the musical planet of BLIMUS" he then gave a friendly belly laugh and made a PA system appear just like magic. In shock and awe we looked round but the mysterious champion had vanished as soon as appeared, wherever that hero of the people is now we humble big handers thank ye for yer help oh traveller from distant places and hope our paths one day cross again.

Energised by the power of the technology of the BLIMUS(lings) we set up and skanked it up to 11, probably one of the best Farnham shows to date i recon, great bar staff (Nicky tell yer staff they are amazin) beautiful ladies, top notch booze and folk that aint afraid tae shake their ass tae the sound of BIG HAND all these factors make us get wood, eh, i mean smile :)

catch ye all on friday at inn on the green, try and no eat too much soft cheese til then though yeah.
