Bombskare liveth forever - Wednesday 4th March
Well, just returned down to earth after an incredible gig at Studio 24 supporting the majestic Bombskare on their long awaited album launch. As well as being perhaps the hottest sweatest hour we've spent outside of a sauna, was also perhaps the most fun. Good slippery fun. Though its a wonder we finished in one piece. Big thanks to Bomskare for the invite, upon which we downed our respective tools and raced 100's of miles across fields and rivers to be present. Also thanks to Root System and the Amphetameanies, both as ever awesome and crazy. And of course to the hundreds, thousands even, of people who came along to make it an amazing night.
And so on to the mystery that is Bombskare... It brought a tear to this old man's eye to see the bombskare leviathan getting stronger and stronger by the year, defying time, gravity, the law and many other things, like a primal force of evolution, devouring all in their wake. Where next...visions, 100 years from now, a juggernaught, various parts of the machine retiring in glory to be replaced by new blood, of grandkids of grandkids keeping the ska alive, Bombskare striding across the globe, the oldest band in existence (with all original members looking proudly down and dancing with Bob Marley and Moses on a cloud), keeping the the good people and robots up and down the Ark dancing, till we evolve up to teleportation and living on the moon and the name passes into misty legend. Something along those lines anyway. ![]()
